The oyster farmers of Oléron are renowned for their high-quality oysters. The island's winegrowers produce white and rosé wines, often from local grape varieties such as Pineau des Charentes. Finally, the salt producers continue an ancestral tradition, offering a natural and flavourful product. These passionate and committed producers make the island of Oléron a must-visit destination for lovers of local produce.
During your holiday on the Île d'Oléron, treat yourself to an oyster tasting and the traditional Églade de moules (mussel dish).
