Christmas and New Year: The magic of Paris

Paris is also a very popular destination for the festive season. Hotel Provinces Opéra is located just a stone's throw from Boulevard Haussmann and its amazing illuminated window displays which are decked out each year. The hotel is an excellent base for admiring the capital's dazzling Christmas decorations. In fact, the City of Lights is best known for these celebrations.

When is the best time to holiday in France? For Christmas and New Year.

How about spending Christmas and New Year on a holiday at altitude? For a holiday at the highest level, nothing beats the snow-capped mountains.
In the prestigious Haute-Savoie ski resort of Megève, you will have a wonderful time at the Chalets du Prariand. With cosy decor and a stunning view of Mont Blanc, this exceptional hotel is perfect for feeling the true spirit of Christmas. A festive Christmas Eve and fireside entertainment are in store for you in a family-friendly atmosphere. In the village square, a majestic Christmas tree will sparkle for everyone to enjoy. Another tradition: On New Year's Eve, as night falls, the ESF ski instructors light up Megève with their torches. In the glow of these lights, you can enjoy a glass of mulled wine offered by the town hall. Ski and snowboard fans will also love the Hotel Belle Plagne which is situated directly on the slopes.  A great ski-in/ski-out experience !

Springtime and the flowers are in bloom

The weather is fine without the intense heat of the summer or the crowds that come with it. What do you fancy? A weekend escape to the country or a stay by the sea in France? An energising break in the Ardèche, a lakeside getaway or a relaxing holiday on the Mediterranean? There's no shortage of possibilities for holidaying in the spring.

The river and its stunning gorges are just a 5-minute drive away.

Do you like the beach? Then you'll love the one at the foot of Villa Caroline in La Baule. Indeed, Benoît beach is known as being one of the most beautiful in Europe.
